Senior Captain Brandon Durocher led the Boys Track team with a win in the 400 hurdles and high jump, along with a second place in the 100 hurdles, to beat Millis 120-15. Each of these jumps were the best in the league. Senior Captain Josh Kelleher came in first in the shotput, and came in second in the triple jump. Senior Captain Max Marcotte came in first in the 800 Meter, and was part of the 4x400 that also won. Senior Kevin O’Leary came in first in the discus with a throw of 118’. This throw was a state qualifying time, and he is undefeated in javelin this season. This was a senior day that will always be remembered.
Other winners on the day placed in their events. Cam Stalters won the 110 hurdle with a 16.0, and came second in the javelin. Justin Ireland won both the 100 and the 200, and came in third in long jump. The 4x400 team that won consisted of Chris Wrenn, Max Marcotte, Parker Cleathero, and Sean Cappellini. Chris ran also ran a great race when he won the one mile. The 4x100 team that won consisted of Camden Cleathero, Adam Winiarz, Elliot Ariola, and Justin Martins. Mike Tiereny led the way in the 400 meters. Jordan Lach won the two mile race due to his pacing throughout the race. Coach Tayler looks forward to see improvements, and was very happy with the performance of the team.
